Winona, Minnesota
Population 25,964
A beautiful, historic town, surrounded by bluffs and located on the rushing Mississippi River. Just off of U.S. Highway 61 this city is anything but dull. Vibrant college life, mixed with locals whose ancestors have been here since it was built, makes this city unique. Generations can recall landmarks like Sugarloaf, and Garvin Heights, both of which overlook all of Winona and into Wisconsin. Winona was founded in 1851 and at one time, due to the logging industry, had more millionaires per capita than any other city in the United States. The rich history and numerous local shops and restaurants make this a perfect place to visit or live. Many times you can find a quiet spot and take it all in. Summers are the most quiet due to college students heading back home. Please enjoy what I have been able to capture so far!
